Mt Eden

Contemporary addition to a Victorian Villa.  UK based architects William Tozer associates designed a series of new pavilions including a second story, interweaving the modern and the historical.

“Paul Hawthorn and his Building Elements team undertook a year-long project for us. Building Elements entirely renovated our villa, adding a contemporary addition comprising a large open plan living room, kitchen, dining, laundry, bathroom and family room, with an upstairs master bedroom, ensuite and wardrobe. They also built a new garage and undertook significant hard landscaping of the site. It was a complex build melding historic and contemporary architecture. We were impressed throughout the project with their attention to detail and the quality of finish.

Paul and his builders were a pleasure to have on site, they work hard and have a good, fun team culture. He and his team communicated with us well and worked closely with us to solve any problems that arose. Paul has a tremendous group of subcontractors and suppliers, who he works with closely across his projects. They were very reliable and share a similar focus on quality and finish. We are delighted with the finished house and never plan on moving!”
